He also praises the performers in the Festival Finale: Trey Lee and Sinfonia Varsovia (1 December 2024 | Concert Hall, Hong Kong Cultural Centre), noting that Trey Lee "impressed not only with flawless technique but also with deep emotional involvement" and "his interpretation was balanced, avoiding excess and exaggeration"; Sinfonia Varsovia "played with emotion, capturing the Slavic character of [Symphony No.7 in D minor]. Under Liebreich’s baton, Dvořák’s work possessed a muscular, dark tone"; and in the encore, "the local music students captured the essence of [Orawa by Wojciech Kilar] beautifully."
