Emerging piano master interprets concert classics

The wait is over for Zach Cheong Hoi-leong’s piano recital! The varied program is a sophisticated survey of his beloved classical pieces, including Chopin’s "Heroic" Polonaise, technically demanding pieces by Beethoven and Rachmaninoff, and works by Bach and Schubert.

Prior to winning the 2022 Musicus Young Artist Audition, Zach has been appearing in Musicus concerts since 2018. He recently graduated from the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia and is pursuing his master’s at the world-famous Juilliard School of Music, on top of appearing in concert halls worldwide.

Zach possesses an expansive and splendid artistry as an up-and-coming star who has already won a raft of awards in China, Japan and Germany, including the prestigious International Chopin Piano Competition in ASIA. Witness an elegant yet rigorous performer who creates magic on the keyboard with complete mastery of the repertoire.
